Scavenger Hunt Contests:

Participants are invited to take part in a scavenger hunt, searching for specified wild edibles before each foraging workshop. The goal is to find and photograph all target wild edibles to win a free admission to the upcoming workshop.

Contest Details:

- List of Target Wild Edibles: Released at 1 PM three days before each workshop. The targets include all wild edibles featured in the upcoming workshop, except one mystery wild edible.

- Submission Requirements: Participants must submit clear, time-stamped photo evidence of each target wild edible to foraging@permasolutionsrd.org.

- Contest Duration: Each contest closes six hours before the start of the workshop.

- Winners: A maximum of five winners per workshop will be selected based on the accuracy and completeness of their submissions. In the event of more than five winners, the first five to submit their evidence will be selected.

- Prize: Each winner receives one free admission to the respective foraging workshop.

- Eligibility: Open to all participants. No purchase is necessary.

- Limitations: Only one free admission per person per workshop.

Additional Guidelines:

- Submission Format: Participants should ensure that their photo submissions are clear and legible, with accurate time-stamps visible.

- Judging Criteria: Submissions will be judged on the accuracy of identification and adherence to submission guidelines.

- Notification of Winners: Winners will be notified via email or Facebook Messenger no later than three hours before the start of the workshop.

- Disqualification: Any evidence of tampering or misrepresentation will result in immediate disqualification.

The target wild edibles are: Cattail, Staghorn Sumac, European Cranberry Bush, Elderberry, Dwarf Raspberry, Bunchberry, Plantego (Plantain), Birch, Dandelion, Beaked Hazelnut, Wild Grape, Wild Blueberry, Maple, Wood Sorrel, Violet, Burdock, Wild Strawberry, Yellow Clintonia, Wintergreen, Cedar, Wild Raspberry, Thistle, Oxeye Daisy, Jewelweed, Curled Dock, Crabapple, and Wild Blackberry.
