Our LEAD Program, Learning Environmental Action Decentralized, is a cornerstone initiative of PermaSolutions R&D designed to empower communities through decentralized environmental education and action. This program leverages local knowledge and resources to foster sustainable practices and resilience in diverse venues.

- Community-Centered Education: LEAD focuses on delivering environmental education directly to communities, adapting content to meet local needs and contexts. By decentralizing the approach, LEAD ensures that sustainability education is relevant, accessible, and impactful for participants from all walks of life.

- Practical Action Projects: Participants in the LEAD program engage in hands-on projects that apply learning in tangible ways. These projects range from community gardens and local recycling initiatives to water conservation practices and renewable energy installations, helping to solidify knowledge through direct application.

- Building Local Leadership: A key goal of LEAD is to cultivate local leaders who can champion environmental initiatives within their communities. The program includes leadership training sessions that focus on project management, effective communication, and strategic planning, equipping individuals with the skills needed to lead sustainable change.

- Partnerships for Broad Impact: LEAD collaborates with various organizations, including schools, local governments, non-profits, and community groups to broaden its reach and deepen its impact. A key partnership is with Hayes Farm, under whose banner we conduct a significant portion of our teaching initiatives. This collaboration allows us to integrate LEAD’s initiatives into broader community planning and development efforts effectively. We are actively seeking more partners that can provide venues for LEAD workshops, enhancing our ability to deliver decentralized environmental education across diverse communities.

The LEAD Program not only educates but also activates communities, providing them with the tools and knowledge to make informed decisions and take meaningful actions toward sustainability. By decentralizing environmental education, LEAD fosters a network of informed citizens and leaders who are equipped to face environmental challenges and advocate for sustainable solutions.

Willow, developed by PermaSolutions R&D, offers a standalone service that enables organizations to integrate our advanced sustainability practices directly into their operations. This service enhances environmental and social governance (ESG) through expertly designed strategies and tools, independent of our Tin Man system.
